Help with OpenDM and the OpenDM Connect extension.

Getting started

• Install the app first. Download OpenDM for Mac or Windows and open it once. It registers itself with your browsers.
• Then the extension. Install OpenDM Connect. Its toolbar popup says Connected once it reaches the app.
• Try it. Download any file, or hover a video and choose Download video.

The browser extension

OpenDM Connect works in Chrome, Edge and Firefox. Store listings are on their way; until then, download opendm-connect from the latest release, unzip it, and load the folder from your browser's extensions page with Developer mode on.

Common questions

• The popup says OpenDM is not running. Click Start OpenDM in the popup, or open the app. It keeps running in the menu bar or tray when its window is closed.
• The popup says OpenDM is not installed. Install the app, open it once, then restart the browser.
• I want this one download in the browser. Alt-click the link, or add the site to the exclusions in OpenDM's Settings > Browser.
• A download says the link expired. Right-click it in OpenDM and choose Refresh Download Address, then start the same download again on the page.
